5 Poems for Pride Month

As most of you are aware, June is Pride Month in the LGBTQIA+ community. Now, Pride means different things for different people, just as the LGBTQIA+ experience varies from person to person. Below are five spoken word pieces, not meant to be able to completely encapsulate this multifaceted community, but to at least cover a few of the the bases.

Ollie Schminkey – “Boobs”

Joanna Hoffman – “Pride”

Janani Balasubramanian – “trans/national”

Lauren Zuniga – “Confessions of an Uneducated Queer”

Andrea Gibson – “I Do (Gay [Queer] Marriage Poem)”
